Comments: This playground overlooks the ocean with the train running to the east of it. This seems to be a highlight for the kids watching the trains go by. Parking is metered 7 days a week. There is also a large parking lot if you plan to stay longer, otherwise it costs more if you are only planning on staying an hour or two. There is a sidewalk around the entire playground area and there is a large grassy area. However, the playground area is not fenced. Bathrooms are to the north of the playground area by Jake's Restaurant. As for shade, there are trees around the playground itself. The park is on the hill and it is a short walk down to the beach. Benches are located around the playground and concrete picnic tables are in the grassy area. The view is spectacular! 4/30/03.
